On Thursday, the UCLA redshirt freshman was cited by University of Arizona police after he allegedly spit on Arizona fans following the Wildcats’ 76-66 win over the Bruins. UEFA says its disciplinary panel closed the case Thursday, meaning Chelsea will not face any sanction over a charge of “racist behavior.” The chant was heard at a group-stage game against Vidi in Hungary in December. Chelsea quickly condemned the behavior saying it is “abhorrent to this club.” UEFA did fine Red Star Belgrade 64,000 euros ($73,000) for “illicit chants” by fans at a Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain in December....

However, since winning the World Cup in 2014, Germany has not been able to continue its dominance on the world stage with their 2018 World Cup ending during the group stage itself. This came as a huge shock to the world because Germany was expected to win their group considering that they were up against Sweden, Mexico, and South Korea. Their form in the European Championship has been decent considering that they have finished as runner ups in 2008 and reached the semi-finals in the following two competitions....

“The UEFA Executive Committee has warned both football associations that - irrespective of any decisions taken by the independent disciplinary bodies relating to incidents inside the stadium - it will not hesitate to impose additional sanctions …including the potential disqualification of their respective teams from the tournament, should such violence occur again,” UEFA said in a statement. UEFA had earlier launched disciplinary proceedings against Russia in response to their fans storming their English counterparts in the stadium....

Atletico stunned the Champions League winners, coming from behind to take the game 4-2 and deny Real their third successive UEFA Super Cup, which left many questions to answer for the Real Madrid post-Ronaldo era. Los Rojiblancos took the lead from a stunning Diego Costa goal in the very first minute of the game, which set the record for the fastest goal in the UEFA Super Cup....

UEFA had earlier asked the participating clubs to provide information regarding the status of overdues that is to be paid and recognized the six cases in a meeting held in September. The prize money will be sanctioned only after the clubs clear the overdues or until a favorable decision by CFCB....
