Today, Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez and CEO Yves Guillemot attended an investor conference call and were asked if their company has any plans to release another Assassin’s title in the next fiscal year. Martinez answered:
Not content with Alain’s coy answer, Mr. Guillemot chimed in with the confirmation:
We all know Assassin’s Creed 3 is coming eventually, but whether or not Guillemot and Martinez were referring to Assassin’s 3 remains to be seen. This product that the duo refers to can’t be Ascendance, as that’s already been unveiled. So, is it in fact AC3? International Brand Manager Eric Gallant was quizzed last month on the matter:
“Biggest franchise” is right. Ubisoft has been spending quite a lot of money on Brotherhood, doing their best to ensure the title realizes it’s full sales potential. Any Ranters out there that have an idea as to what we’ll see next from the franchise? Will it be more supplemental content like Ascendance, or is Ubisoft ready to unleash a new protagonist upon the masses with Assassin’s Creed 3? Let us know in the comments section!
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood launches November 16th, 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and February 22, 2011 for PC.
