Bad blood started between Jones and Cormier in early August to announce their fight at UFC 178 in September. After the pre-fight press conference, they did a face to face staredown. Jones leaned his forehead into Cormier and a brawl ensued into the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel. That led to both guys getting fined by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the incident and a lot anticipation to see the fight happen. Jones suffered a knee and ankle injury in training that led the fight to take place this Saturday.
