“I will not be fighting Cowboy Cerrone [to]morrow on account that I couldn’t make the weight limit. I apologize [to] Cowboy you are a legend. God bless. I’m sorry to my team, my friends and the people that genuinely care for me. Extremely disappointed I will have to reevaluate things in my life. No one is perfect. We all have bad days but I promise it will not happen again. I will comeback stronger like I have before. Until next time.”
According to reporters at the weigh-in, Cerrone is livid and has every right to be after he originally was scheduled to take on former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 205 but that fight had to be scrapped as well after Lawler needed more time to heal from a knockout at UFC 201.
